The hotel, on the south-west coast of Turkey is exclusive to First Choice for the UK customers, and with 17 pools and 12 restaurants, the complex is sold to customers as an ideal all-inclusive resort for families. What First Choice don´t tell customers when they book is that the company admitted liability for claims against the hotel in 2005, 2006 and 2007.
One rep blamed the ´oily food´ for holidaymakers becoming ill, but went on to say ´there´s no sort of disease or bug or anything.´
When Watchdog sent undercover researchers to check out the Holiday Village, Sarigerme, Turkey, the restaurant looked spotless and there were cleaners everywhere, but they also met more holidaymakers who had become seriously ill with sickness and diarrhoea.
Carole Monteverd was part of a group of 21 from Manchester who stayed at the Holiday Village, Sarigerme, Turkey. Thirteen of the group became ill, and four more developed symptoms on their return to the UK.
Eleven year old Victoria Shaw developed Salmonella, and her father Mark caught Campylobacter, which is an intestinal disease caused by undercooked meat or cross-contamination of food. Mark said he was so ill he couldn´t climb the stairs and on one day he went to the toilet 37 times.
Although First Choice claims to have sent independent experts to the resort three times this year, people are still falling ill. Watchdog heard many cases of people falling ill with vomiting and diarrhoea just a few days into their stay at the Holiday Village.
Some holidaymakers had to seek urgent medical treatment in the resort, and some even had to be hospitalised.
First Choice are adamant that every precaution is taken before sending people to the Holiday Village, Sarigerme, and a spokesman said:
“At First Choice, the health and well being of our customers is our primary focus, and we would like to apologise to anyone who has experienced sickness whilst staying at the Holiday Village, Turkey.

Going on holiday abroad it is always a challenge, you never know where you end up, and it is impossible to avoid inconveniences. It happened to me two years ago to go to Egypt for the third time and stay in the Novotel of Sharm el Sheik and end up with diarrhoea. It hadn’t happened before, but that time I couldn’t avoid it. That episode certainly ruined my holiday, and when I got back I reported it to my GP who said that sometimes our body can be particularly sensitive to the change in clima, food or water. Our body does not always necessarily respond to different conditions positively, therefore when we go abroad have to take into consideration the possibility to get ill. I believe that it is necessary to pay attention when we are abroad and avoid to drink water from the tap, and eating raw fruit, vegetables, meat and fish because we don’t know their origins and how they have been handled.
If you are looking for an affordable holiday I would strongly recommend Turkey, which thank to budget airlines have become cheaper and easier to travel to. In addition, I suggest the following link CheapAccommodationsinTurkey if you want an affordable, but sage and comfortable accommodation there. There are plenty of historical sites such as Ephesus, Didim, Troy to visit as well as plenty of outdoor activities for all the ages!
Your holidays are precious.Enjoyable moments won't come back.If you are made to suffer for the fault of others then you should raise your voice and ask for help.Don't spoil your holidays.Get compensated!

I don't think an oily food can make people ill as I have seen many people eats lots of oil in their regular meal. But whenever you go for holidays specially out of your region, it's possible that the atmosphere and meal doesn't suits you and you got ill and it's obvious so I don't think you should blame anyone at that time.
